170 bricks Figures: 1 Model dimensions: TBC Bodywork with pad printing Easy-to-follow instruction manual Compatible with other leading brands of construction blocks History. The Roman onager, a type of ancient catapult, was a pivotal siege weapon in Roman warfare. Originating around the 3rd century AD, the onager was named after a wild donkey, known for its powerful kick, reflecting the weapon's forceful launch.

It was an evolution of earlier Greek and Roman artillery, like the ballista, but with a simpler, more robust design suited to hurling large stones. The onager operated using a single vertical arm with a sling at the end, which was pulled down by tensioned ropes or sinew. When released, it would hurl projectiles with tremendous force, primarily used to batter fortifications or terrorise enemy troops.

The onager was particularly effective in sieges, capable of demolishing walls and causing havoc within enemy strongholds. Despite its power, the onager's accuracy was limited, and it was gradually supplanted by more advanced siege engines as military technology evolved. Reviews.
